What an amazing story! I was deeply moved and inspired by this man's courage and dedication. It reminds me of some of the stories of other North Korean defectors that I listened to on KZbin (via the "Asian Boss" channel I think). The people of North Korea truly deserve better than the murderous monster that they have in power.

My ancestors fought for the north during the Civil War. Racism is a major taboo in this country. We elected a black president (twice) and have many black members of Congress and in professional fields across all walks of life. The best man at my wedding -- my best friend and the smartest guy that I know -- is a black engineer (who graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering all the while playing football at the university). Who are these blacks who are being "persecuted and dehumanized?"
