I’m a steel worker. And the reason I voted for trump was because in 2016 he put tariffs on Chinese steel. And doing so it made China have to raise their price to comparable levels of our u.s. steel. Which in turn gave us the best 4 years of work I e ever had. We need them back. The auto companies would buy the Chinese steel even though it was not the same quality as ours. As soon as it was the same price they bought our steel because it was better quality. Tariffs worked for me so much that I want more tariffs. Bring them on.

And we're not going to just get tariffs right back because we're the main consumer-base for several regions and industries that are dependent on the American dollar. It would be financial suicide to try and cut us out and we can wait longer than anyone else before buckling on unreasonably deals. Australian here and the free healthcare stuff is great when you don’t have serious illnesses. Like hehe I gave birth and my son broke his wrist. Great care and don’t have to pay. @@kaceycruz3870 Canadian here and that literally is the case here too in my experience. longest i ever had to wait for a regular doctor appointment that was not a regular checkup is two weeks . also i have Met people who rant and rave about how bad our healthcare is ( which is fair in some instances like waiting six months for a CT scan to check for cancer is stupid.) but refuse to go to the emergency room because they are waiting for their appointment or some other reason even though their symptoms are worsening or new symptoms show up. some examples. i had a coworker who was sick coughing and vomiting went to doctor(3 day wait time). doctor sent them home because their was a flu going around half the town was sick(the school was in danger of closing) and it should be gone in a few days. 1 week later coworker can now barely walk and has extreme sensitivity to light is refusing to go to the hospital because the doctor said it would go away in a few days and it wasn't worth booking another appointment. even though it is clearly something else and much worse than before. anyways he almost died from food poisoning his grandfather forced him to go. family member lets just say her urine was a little red. "no need to go to the hospital i have an appointment next week ill just bring it up then". she's fine we made her go to the emergency room two days later when we had found out it was a bladder infection. i have more stories but i think that's enough of a rant . but point is yes our healthcare can be awful but sometimes people are stupid.

He was robbed by 4 illegals in a group hanging outside of Walmart with knives. He called the cops, they took his statement and said they'll be on the lookout....... the same group were outside hanging out there 2 weeks later and have still been there. Can't even go to Walmart without concealed carry to protect yourself and your family. Worst part is, if you do need to defend yourself, you would get in trouble for terrorizing an asylee. What people are seeming to miss is that the tariffs only negatively affect Americans when they take effect. He got Canada and Mexico to agree to his terms, without those costs ever hitting Americans. Furthermore, the threat of tariffs being put in place is still there (because it's a 30 day pause), so there is still the incentive for companies to establish infrastructure in the States, and they have time before tariffs are in effect. This is about as close to a flawless victory as physically possible.

Except it won’t exclusively negatively affect Americans, it will cause imported products to lose a lot of sales to domestic products, the countries exporting goods to America will make less sales and in time might even lose their entire market as their competition grows from the extra sales. And even where there is no competition, the tariffs make it easier for new competition to take off and and either sell the same goods for less or better goods for the same price, or both. It will all take time though, ideally we get the best possible scenario

I know some ppl who are losing their minds over the tariffs. Mostly due to the not 300% increase to Ozempic and Insulin shots. First of all if you need this than insurance should be covering it no matter what. Secondly they don’t seem to grasp the concept that these tariffs and meant to be a negative incentive for companies making products outside America and trying to sell in America. Making it so that it will be cheaper and more available if they bring their business into America and out of places like Europe and China. The thing about the tariffs is that he wants to replace income taxes with tariffs. If that happens then not only do foreign goods get more expensive, but American goods and services get cheaper. If the average American worker no longer has to spend 30-50% of the money they make on taxes, then the wage they require to make a living drops by 30-50% meaning businesses can pay people more reliable wages without paying people more dollars because employee spending value for their existing pay went up 30-50%. Jobs that were unsustainable will become more viable, businesses can lower costs without affecting profit margins, small businesses will eventually become more competitive and it will be more practical than ever to produce things domesticlly because foreign goods will be less competitive, all of this introduces market competition thus driving innovation and reducing inflation. If the tariffs really do replace income taxes, that is.

As an American and consumer I’m worried about all these tariffs since it’s the consumers who end up paying the foot bill and not the foreign governments. Tariffs only make governments richer, not the people. It’s imperative that people wake up and realize that our economy isn’t working as the prices are never going to go down. We need to be more like Finland, who’s a capitalist economy with some socialist practices. Mixed economies are clearly working, they have the best education and their people are happy so they are doing something right. Wake up and revolt against our incapable and corrupt government. We have the right to do so and I say we do it sooner rather than later when the 💩 hits the fan for real and forces us to. I think it’s important we discuss this issue at least.
