I then asked Jesus to help me get off my marijuana and porn addictions and he followed through so I've been praying daily, reading the Bible for the first time since childhood which I understand way better now that I'm an adult, and have been going to church with my parents. I didn't think there was enough evidence before but realized my addictions were keeping me from God and now I hear him speaking directly to me through the Christian music I've been listening to and in the words I'm reading in the gospel and even in the sermons at church it's like hes speaking directly to me I just couldn't see it before because i was always high and watching porn

Our congregation isn’t very encouraged to vote, most Mennonites believe that we must stay out of anything to do with the government but we are encouraged to pray for our government of course and while we know that praying is very important, me and my husband felt like it was our duty to vote this time. We prayed about it a lot before we made our decision and we felt like the Lord was encouraging us to vote. In 2016 I was living an ungodly life as a Christian but still voted for Trump as I was raised Republican. In 2020 I struggled deciding if I should vote or not and ultimately voted for Trump but didn’t have a lot of faith in the republicans. Sometime after I struggled and almost turned pro choice and atheist. This year and the year prior I have closer to God than ever. I have felt so sure footed on abortion stances because of you! The abortion amendment passing in Missouri has been devastating for us. It was SUCH a slight pass ... 51.8% to 48.2%, and it was just because of the three big cities, the rest of the state voted NO 😢. If we would have had Florida's 60% rule it wouldn't have passed. So sad about Amendment 3 here in Missouri. It was all Kansas City and St Louis metro areas that voted strongly yes. We used to have to have a 2/3rds majority needed for amendments. It’s too bad it’s a simple majority now.
