@@chrisparnham U2 were big 40 years ago, so you'd need to be already old back then to think they were changing music, rather than being part of a broader gradual evolution of music. Bands that lead a movement seem groundbreaking if you only notice them when they get big.

I can admit I haven't always watched Seth Meyers, but about halfway through the previous administration I started watching way more late night TV as a way to circumvent my frustration and annoyance. In all that I watched, he quickly became my favorite. This entire montage of monologues is why! I just feel like he's got the best off camera personality of them all.

@@AS-kp1xu I'm with you. I still miss the "Stay save. We love you." at the end. I was also turned from sometimes watching randomly to actively staying with them during quarantine. The segments at his house, sea captain and the more personal touch of getting to know the staff and writers made me a huge fan. Also, being able to laugh at yourself. You'd think it's a staple thing for a comedian, but it's absolutely not. And Seth is so good at this!

Seth f*cking up the whole routine and thereby making it even more funny and throwing his writers under the bus is so much more hilarious then the (also really good) scripted jokes on their own. You are all amazing and so much fun to watch. I love that we got to know you in a more personal way, seeing behind the camera faces, knowing names, getting to see you joke with each other. It's so refreshing and gives me so much joy. Last Week Tonight (which I also absolutely love) needs to get moved into a special category (like comedy education) so you finally can get your Emmys!

It's a great way to appreciate the behind the scenes talent. I often see comments on other shows of "he's so naturally funny, how does he make that stuff up? He's perfect." and it makes me sad, that while those guys clearly have talent, they also have writers who make up those jokes for them to shine with. I like the gentle ripping on this show and pointing out the talent of the team.

@Kevin Stone They do have the option available on some of the videos, but not all . I have an auditory processing disorder. I do t have to have them, but they really help . However, I do have quite a few friends who are deaf and hard of hearing. Most of them can read lips pretty well, but not all, and even if they can . They shouldn't have to . This channel is far from being a small outfit, and they definitely have the time and man power to have them available. I don't even understand why they are turned off completely. Even channels who are smaller and they dont have them as an option, they have the auto generated captions. They might not always be correct, but it's something. If they have time to edit a video, they have time to add the captions .
