Seth really missed one thing here he should have pointed out - the Jan. 6 insurrection did have firearms. Several of the insurrectionists have been brought up on firearms charges; one had a car trunk full of guns and explosives parked near the Capitol; some of the "militia" members had an arsenal stashed at a hotel just a 20 minute drive away that they planned to go back and get later once Trump declared martial law, as they expected; in the event, things moved too fast for them to do anything with their arsenal. To say nothing of the fact that many insurrectionists had other, non-firearms weapons and some tried to take firearms from the police during the rioting. To top it all off, the only reason more didn't bring firearms with them was that there was a strict security cordon around the Capitol that didn't allow them in; many of the protesters in fact got stopped because they were armed; we heard during Congressional testimony about Trump demanding that metal detectors be taken away and his gun-toting supporters be allowed onto the Capitol grounds. The lie that the insurrection was "unarmed" should never be repeated without a note that it isn't true. Hm... does this make me one of the jackals?

Born and raised in GA. Left at 17 to join the Navy and never looked back. When I visit my folks (who turned independent after Trump) it feels like another country. The basics of it is, religious upbringing rearing it's ugly head. The voters will vote for anyone who says Jesus or Christian. So if MTG says Jesus this or Jesus that, they will vote for her. Even if her actions are opposite of EVERYTHING that is written in red within the Bible.
