As a former educator it is important for the younger voter to see how this will affect them in their early adulthood and later years. My dad, a former long time Republican, was the one who convinced me to vote by mail. It was first for convenience as we could vote early. Then it became necessary when we lived rurally and our polling place was several miles away otherwise. Dad is registered Democrat now by his own choice. My parents, staunch Republicans, have always voted by mail! They prefer it! I, a Democrat, HAVE to vote by mail because I live in the country, and I HATE VOTING BY MAIL! I drive half an hour,and drop off my ballot at the closest polling station. COMPROMISE: Make Election Day REQUIRED; MAKE IT A HOLIDAY FOR ALL; and RUN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FREE to the polling stations (which there are at least one in every neighborhood).

Inaccurate comment! Service personnel over seas get to vote where ever they are stationed. The other categories are also inaccurate. Yes, it is more difficult, but they still can vote. In fact, l registered VA pts to vote and then transportation was provided.
