Jan 31st: A plane fell out of the sky (cause unknown still) We know for a fact that the mid air collision on the 29th in DC, there was a single ATC member handling both planes and helos, and that these are usually two separate jobs for two people. The tower was under staffed. Whether the 31st was the result of understaffed towers, or from other relaxed regulations - it's clear that ATC towers are being understaffed, and every single step taken beforehand was intentionally designed to either scare off existing employees or prevent new ones from joining, it's no surprise that ATC is understaffed around the country more than ever right now - it's scary. And The same is happening to the rest of the government as well right now, just not always as visibly.

Yes, we need to find out what happened, to see if we can improve safety and prevent this from happening again, look at how many car wrecks there are every day and look at how many plane crashes we have, air travel is by far safer. Pilot error happens, even to the best of them. Aircraft are mechanical devices and subject to parts failure just like any other vehicle.

I'm very familiar with that area; Roosevelt, Cottoman/Buselton Aves. are busy major streets. I used to take that route going to/from center city to Montgomery County. Fox Chase Hospital is a cancer center in that vicinity. I suggest people notify their representatives; demand Trump reinstate all personnel he fired.
