As an Australian I can't apologise enough for what the Murdoch's have done to America. I actually went to college in America on a sports scholarship and did aerospace engineering. I love the place and love the people. I hate the horrible divisions that have been fomented in American politics and that an Australian born person has been in the middle of it. A bunch of my college friends were pre-law and they gave me an abnormal education in the US Constitution and over time I learned to appreciate it. These days I genuinely believe its one of the greatest achievements in human history on the simple basis that it not only enshrined basic personal rights for all of its citizens but those rights had an enormous affect on the rest of the world. I don't think many Americans realise just how influential the Bill of Rights has been in World affairs. However the US Constitution is not perfect and it needs to be cared for and respected and maintained because it does have one great weakness. *Its open to abuse by narcissistic people who will take advantage of the PERSONAL freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights and use those freedoms to deny other people of their freedoms.* I often joke that there are certain people who's view of liberty is to strip other people of their liberty. *One of those people is Rupert Murdoch.* The fact that Rupert Murdoch, family & friends through Fox believe they can arbitrate between who is and who is NOT a patriot is utterly disgusting. I heard Scott mention recently _"that people are entitled to their own opinions but they are NOT entitled to their own facts."_ *Nobody else has hurt that concept across the developed world more than Rupert Murdoch.* In Rupert's mind people are NOT entitled to facts or accurate information. In Rupert's mind people are entitled to agree with his opinions and be labelled a patriot or NOT agree with his opinions and be labelled UN-patriotic. *This is a concept that has ruined empires.*

She says plainly she is lucky, and she's only upset that a human being was murdered in cold blood, and it might not be right that other CEOs maybe shouldn't be targeted for murder also. Is it such a messed up situation with insurance that we should be calling for the murdering of other human beings? I don't know the answer, but I know it's not that. They suck big time, they're awful, but it's the system that is broken. We can't forget a human being was shot dead point blank. We also can't forget the millions that die because insurance won't cover their treatments. Two things can be true at the same time. We don't need to lose our humanity in the process, just because we feel they are missing humanity. It's hard for all of us to process this situation because his heinous act has actually brought attention to the issue, so it's almost as if some good came of it, but the cost was too high.
@littlejerryseinfeld4168Күн бұрын
@@prettyhatemachine101 no one called for it. it just happened and people reacted honestly. I'm not trying to argue about it but in a country where 12 people control 1 trillion dollars and the bottom half of society controls 2.3 % of the pie, I don't see alot of people breaking the bank to wax poetic about some guy who made 10 million dollars a year being at the top of a dirty system. Let's be honest with ourselves here, people die in terrible ways everyday, some are good people some are bad people. Most are a mix of the two. The best part about being dead (I assume) is that there's no more suffering for the dead. You can even hear it out of Scott + Jessica's own mouths... Scott raced back from London where he was duck hunting with his venture capitalist buddy and Jessica threw a multi-thousand dollar birthday party for a 3 year old - that's not just privilege that's privilege and security. If you think what just happened is everyone losing their humanity, you're not living in reality. The reaction to the situation is actually more like humanity than the people who are pretending to care about it. Yeah sure if you knew the guy or if you think what would happen if it was your relative/friend/whatever, people would be singing a different tune - but it is delusional thinking that a world with a false meritocracy and a system that's designed to bring more success to the successful and the inverse to the inverse, that anyone besides his family and friends cared.

Feels like the exact opposite is happening, especially in Gaza. Having next to no regard for civilian casualties (44,000 and counting) and deliberately blocking aid trucks isn’t exactly “kicking ass”. He’s said in other talks that he has family in Israel, and it shows. They’re both on point about Ukraine, though. I wish more people understood how good of a deal our support has been. It’s what’s made the risk of a larger conflict with NATO far lower, despite all of the fearmongering about WW3 that’s out there. Every single supposed red line Moscow has had so far has been a bluff. And they deserve to be called out on it. And while all that’s been happening, it’s convinced Europe it’s time to re-arm. Look at the difference in defense spending by country now vs. 4 years ago. That was one of Trump’s chief complaints about NATO in the first place. It’s the best case scenario for a full-scale invasion on NATO’s doorstep.

Genius summation of the Dems actions by Scott..... The Dems need to be effective rather than the focus on perfecting rightness

The Taliban also said that they would uphold women's values. It did not work out well for them. I feel HTS will go the same route. The women are going to be persecuted.

Why is Tom Hommans rhetoric and policy perspective xenophobic? Do you not think that America should enforce its borders? What level of immigration is too much?

Yeah Scott, it seems sentential that an opthalmologist who already had connections with anesthesiologists would, 15years later as a Syrian dictator, incorporate roughly the same technology and gas dissidents?

Ok.. for every Indian tech entrepreneur, there’s probably 100k lowering the salaries of those who are citizens. Not good, the immigration needs reform. There’s no adjustments for when the tech industry is in a recession like now.

Love these two but i object to Scott's characterization that Israel has been "doing our duty work". Sheesh. That's not our work, leave us out of it. I believe that US troops enabled the evacuation of innocents from Fallujah , then went door to door in Fallujah to free the city from terrorists. Not Israel's approach to Gaza.

You think syria is going to end well? The rebel leader has connections to Al-Qaeda. Also comparing this and Ukraine to WW2 is a child like comparison. These are widely different examples. Over 10% of the Federal government is going to pay the interest on the debt we have. THAT IS INSANE. We have to focus dealing with problems at home first or this debt is going to destroy us.

When a president gives a "Threat Level 1" or higher... government is no longer government. Test yourself: Watch your daughter or wife go through a forced birth per the current "government." How's that work for You? (not a question)

Who agrees or disagrees with this statement? Democrats would win in 2028 if we had some combination of Galloway, John Stewart, or Bill Mahr on the ticket for the left. Whomever doesn’t make the cut should be Press Secretary. I know that seems like a small job for people I just put forward for the biggest role, but all of them have awesome communication skills and they are all on the record in an abundance, criticizing the far left. Add Jessica to the mix as the head of the DNC and you’ve transformed the party to an unstoppable force of common sense. Mayor Pete as Secretary of State. Someone like Cheney or Adam K as Sec of Defense. They’ve got Elon, we should have Soros and Cuban backing us financially with Cuban getting Sec of HHS. AOC, Shapiro, Gretchen W, Newsom (as long as he spends the next four years cont to move towards the middle), Bernie, Raskin, and similar folks being the mouthpieces in congress to talk to reporters is a strong group of effective communicators who show up ready to counter when necessary. The old guard has got to go because the names above in the positions I stated would see the kind of electoral wins not seen since Regan. It would also force the right to walk away from MAGA for good and usher in a better Conservative Party which is necessary for functional governance.
