The immunity ruling shouldn't have any effect on this case as the overriding charge (interfering with the 2016 election) happened before Trump was President. I believe the verdict will get overturned on appeal, however, but that doesn't have anything to do with immunity. I wish the media would stop trying to weave everything together into some sort of twisted tapestry.
