Trump promised to bring down food prices. Many of us voted for that. Already food prices are going up because laborers have not gone to work for fear of being captured by ICE, (aka Trump's ISIS) forcefully dragged into SUVs by an overpowering number of men, and driven back to the border. Meanwhile, I just bought a Dozen Large Free Range Eggs in the UK for £3.15, that's $3.92 at today's exchange rate. In Europe we have trade deals that make sense without useless tariffs and welcome have systems to process immigrants and to help asylum seekers assimilate themselves into their new environments. FYI Prices are currently higher than normal in Europe as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the ongoing war. Still, £3.15 for a dozen premium eggs is better than the average US cost of $6.50, and going up.
