@ In this case the government is responsible. Some parents especially first gen for example don’t know anything about doing drugs, drug culture or what is being laced in what. Awareness needs to be spread by the government early in elementary school. Then parents can do their part. If government is not responsible then close then public schools, stop vaccine mandates etc and give back the tax money.

My family was raised not to do drugs. So it starts at home. But we had teachers in school who taught us not to do drugs as well. I vividly remember having to watch a documentary type film in class where it showed people taking drugs and how it effected them. Some dying on screen (actors of course). Scared the hell out of me at the age of 10, and stayed stuck in my head till this day.

It is quite gratifying to note the proposed steps to be taken by the Trump administration regarding the drug menace . During 1981 former President Ronald Reagan took various initiatives to curb the use of drugs esp Cocaine and Marijuana and tried to implement " Zero Tolerance Policy" among others which had significant impact. As rightly told by Sree Iyer ji, the bordering country to the north of the US will also start feeling the heat. One can hope that Trump would certainly make some tangible improvements on all fronts especially in respect of Southern border.
