Immediately the worst in these people bubbles up, Trump would be a real nightmare in something like that, on day 4 he would be shanking people on the beach, stealing food, tormenting the vulnerable, strangling people in the night and proposing cannibalism on day 6. It’s common for elderly people to have a distorted sense of our own abilities. I remember having to get really firm with my father about giving up driving. Everyone knew he was becoming a danger but he genuinely thought he was still a good driver.

The reason there is the position of vice-president is that there is always someone to take over if the leader dies or is incapacitated -so why do we worry about it.. The problem for the Democrats is that they dont have another contender to take over and an old declining Biden is their best choice And we should always remember that a president does not rule alone and in Bidens case he has a very effective administration that is doing a good job.
