yes their ability to help them "recover" is next to nil, but they can act as a sounding board & relieve some of that stress the person feels about not being seen as a god & in doing so, reduce the amount of it the rest of us have to hear! My father has the same disorder, he'd often go to therapists, he never wanted to be cured, just to have someone listen to him rant & it did work to reduce his ranting antics to the rest of us

I'm a Canadian prairie girl and I was facepalming. Canada does grade US-grown wheat as feed grain mostly because it's different varieties and generally not cleaned and stored as well as Canadian wheat. (There's a little protectionism in it too.) Canadian wheat is superior for breads and pastas because we grow "hard" wheat varieties. It's also less likely to cause a grain terminal explosion and fire, so we get a better price on the international market. So whatever talking point they were trying to get him to say, it wouldn't have made sense anyway.

It seems that many of the people who attend them are simply going to all of them. They live in mobile homes and travel to each venue and camp out. They're unemployed retirees who are doing this for fun. So on the one hand it's not like he's got huge amounts of supporters in each state, it's a core group of travellers and then some locals. On the other hand Trump does not get this at all and assumes the crowd is new faces each night, which he likely counts as a good sign that he's got supporters everywhere.

Not really. All American wheat imports are graded 'feed', which is the lowest grade, and hence the lowest price. It also has to be stored separate from Canadian grain. It's a silly system that needs to be streamlined. Canadian wheat business' and their associations would be more than happy to sync the grading systems between our 2 countries to eliminate the hassle. It's just got to get done.

sad thing is... it does seem to be true that his uncle was a genuinely intelligent man. I can't speak on him as a person, but he did indeed teach at MIT (for 37 years, not over 40) and actually contributed to the war efforts in WWII, by focusing on radar rather than the application of x-ray technology. Which would require violating an international treaty the US helped draft that has been around since 1967. Something which, among other things like not allowing anyone to claim any extraterrestrial territory, lets non-military satellites be put into place by any country or corporation capable of the task - satellites that are a crucial aspect of science and communications around the world.
