Hegseth couldn't come up with a straight answer when asked, even if he had tried. He refused to answer directly as asked and started babbling to deflect at every opportunity. The senators had to keep on him to get him to stop wasting everyone's time. He just kept on being disrespectful and yapping about stuff he wasn't asked. Requests to answer "Yes" or "No", "True/false" were completely ignored. It's a good thing they came with the receipts - named witnesses (not "Anonymous smears" as Petey claimed), signed tax returns, direct quotes with dates, facts about his cheating. The "man" is a complete train wreck.
