I saw the article written in 2016 by The National Desk, it cites the FAA guidelines that were implemented in March, 2022 that said they would hire to have as much as 3% of their workforce with severe mental health, physical or psychological disabilities. POINT out another country that does this!! You’re right, there is no FINAL REPORT stating the EXACT REASON for THE CRASH. He is preemptively taking action to make sure that if this lead to the problem then we’ve done our due diligence.

⁠​⁠@@lindakilmer2548No, he is preemptively pointing the blame at hiring policies that have absolutely no reason to be considered as a possible cause of a horrible aviation accident in order to distract citizens from the fact that America is understaffed on air traffic controllers and he instituted a hiring freeze despite this fact which could possibly have a part to play in why this disaster happened. In order to be a pilot or an air traffic controller you have to prove to multiple agencies that you are competent and qualified. This fact would not be changed by DEI hiring laws, anyone hired would still have to prove they are qualified. Literally NO ONE wants an incompetent pilot or air traffic controller hired, no one wants someone with severe mental issues hired to such a position because it wouldn’t benefit. There are no lobbyists or activist groups encouraging political agencies to hire incompetent pilots and air traffic controllers, no companies that want that, no customers that want that, there is zero motivation to hire anyone as a pilot or air traffic controller who is not 100% qualified at the job. Blaming DEI hires isn’t logical and DEI hires have NEVER been the cause of such a horrible aviation tragedy. You point out in your comment something about 3% of the workforce related to aviation being hired who have severe mental or physical issues. I have not seen this evidence nor tried to look for it because it is actually completely IRRELEVANT to the issue at hand. Think about it logically for a second. The workforce referred to doesn’t just include pilots and air traffic controllers. It includes everyone from flight attendants, baggage handlers, front desk clerks, to janitors. Those 3% of hires would most likely be the people taking out the trash in airport restrooms and mopping the floors and hallways. I actually know a mentally handicapped man who does exactly that. He is technically part of the workforce helping keep commercial planes flying, he is part of that 3% even though he doesn’t fly a plane or manage air traffic. We don’t yet know what did cause that horrible crash but there is absolutely zero reason and no precedent for blaming DEI hires. There is however, very good reason to speculate that lack of employees could have had something to do with it, that lack of employees could very well be due to Trump’s policies, we don’t know yet but it’s possible and that’s why he tried to point that blame away from himself. He is not a good man and he cares more about pointing fingers than consoling families who lost loved ones.

I totally agree that only the most qualified people should be on aviation, absolutely… BUT with helicopters, that alone won’t solve the problem. Helicopters are unsafe. Period. And anyone who says otherwise, hasn’t looked hard enough into it!! The fact that helicopters can land/take off in busy airspace is simply insane, and I haven’t seen anyone addressing that, looking at things from this angle… I hope that now with the audio of the control asking the helicopter if it was seeing the plane, and the helicopter saying yes when in reality it wasn’t, it was mistaking it for another plane because there were so many in the air, people will be able to gain the perspective of just how dangerous helicopters are, how susceptible to human error, to the elements and to anything else that you can think of… And as it was said, military, highly trained the best of the best, still not enough for an unsafe type of aircraft. All helicopters, unsafe !

Was the helicopter remotely operated as they have just conducted drone and remote operations? What are the recordings from the cockpit of the helicopter?
