They use large green houses with Geo thermal energy to maintain a certain temperature year round, they can replicate tropical temperatures and humidity in order to grow certain products. Mexico, Canada and China will lose this tariff battle and Trump knows it.

This isn't the 1990s. Your mind will probably be blown to discover we have vertical farms and ones that can grow lettuce without soil. Even then...you are still not getting it - the fact we can't grow or get X locally is all the more reason to invest in growing it locally and being less reliant. Besides, 50% of the things you are going to try and cite barely get used by anyone and sit out in the supermarket until it goes bad - I use to do produce cleanup when I was in high school. Then you have the nonsense of seeing things like a single banana wrapped in plastic and a foam plate for sale. We can do without that waste.

You are showing organic produce and not produce that is grown the same way in America as it is in Mexico. Tomatoes will be 1.89 a pound for mexico grown and 59 cents a pound for u.s grown for non organic. Modelo chooses to manufacture in Mexico so a 12 pack will be more than likely 32 dollars while a U.S brand will be around 12 dollars for a 12 pack. Tariffs will destroy the Mexican, Canadian and Chinese economies. U.S consumers will switch brands due to the cost of foreign produced products or not buy them at all. I have stopped buying certain products due to price and found a cheaper alternative instead.

We have solar farms, windmills, and way more nuclear reactors. Our reliance on them has been dropping steadily. In fact, last year we exported more power to them than they did to us.
