Dear fellow South Africans, here is the truth about BEE. Although some may argue that in the beginning, the purpose of it was to uplift blacks (don't know how. Feel free to educate me on that.), it really isn't helping any blacks. E.g. I'm an entrepreneur in agriculture, I face challenges when it comes to logistics and storage. I then go to government for funding. You know, the "previously disadvantaged" category. Then they give you a list of their demands that could cripple your business if not careful. You have employees, they say add more permanent ones or no funding. Your business doesn't want more help for now, maybe in the future. They don't care. So, you take more workers you don't need to put more weight on your margins or go down slowly. My point is ANC policies are not helping blacks, at least not me or any black entrepreneur I know. And there's a bunch of us. And no, I don't vote for communists and I never did. My IQ is not as of car engine running temperature.
@GikaThaumuller2 сағат бұрын
I'm glad you said this!! The Sotho farmers I know also say BEE just hurts them. The gov has zero logic around economic intelligence.... they help themselves and get rich. They don't know how to actually manage money the way a business needs to, to survive
@indylwth23272 сағат бұрын
BEE is rubbish, destroying the country and keeping hardly working people back. Thanks for speaking out and all the best for your business. Give the commies hell by succeeding regardless!

Unfortunately there are too many homeless unemployed and desperate people in SA who have no hope, and who as a result will vote for communism as they have nothing to lose....

Exactly South African were lied to BEE IS ONLY FOR THE SELECT FEW BUT IT DOES HELP BLACK PEOPLE IN EMPLOYMENT
@cloudstrife8791Сағат бұрын
If BEE was never implemented SA unemployment would never have reached 30%. Sure corruption and mafias still a mess, but reality is there is probably less than 2 million whites that would want jobs and many already work through friends or family that started a business. This means many of the international companies would take the remaining SAns. Black, coloureds, indians would have easily gotten absorbed by any local or international business who requires staff and that would easily act as an BEE anyway, but should a white guy apply and be the better person he would be accepted instead choices are rejected based on racist laws BEE. Always say before Zuma sold SA and created blackouts SA was R7:1USD. Blacks were absorbed and put into workshops that upskilled them with the skills needed in the company. These workshops are now kinda missing expensive or unsustainable. Blacks saw BEE just as a revenge agenda now around half of them became R370 salary workers...

I'm American, and nowadays I get my international news from independent content creators that live in the country I'm interested in hearing about. If I have more questions, I'll go to different citizens living in the country for different perspectives. I just don't trust the mass media for anything any more, and sometimes expats just don't live the experience of the people back home. You, sir, are the SA news now, I appreciate your content . Welcome to the world of new media.

What pisses me off about the ANC responses is the double speak from our political leaders. They say equality, human rights blah blah whilst at the very same time are doing the exact opposite with racially guided, lobsided policies. Not to mention violating human rights on a daily basis.

Your "we" should be bullied, because your "we" is responsible for doing all these terrible things to your country. Rhamaposa will never stop doing evil things and breaking his promises, and "we the people being trodden upon" should not run but stay and hold ground...
