Bit strange that when he was talking about that during the construction of the Panama canal just as much Americans died as 75% of the total losses during the whole Vietnam war… just to see a page pulled up 2 seconds later that showed that 22k french people died during the construction when they started and 5,6k americans died when they took over. As a born and raised New Yorker, I can assure you at 5 o’clock in the afternoon was rush-hour, and there had to be enormous amounts of people watching the crime committed. The Coney Island stop is at the end of the line but still it’s during rush hour in New York City were millions of people a day use the subway for transport so many people decided not to intervene most likely cause I didn’t wanna go to jail for trying to be a good Samaritan
