Trumpet & A MIC Is a powerful message about growing up, perseverance, love, hope, and transcending one’s own circumstances. A mature Dontae is speaking to himself as a four year old, encouraging strength, tenacity, and the will to survive through the storm of life’s trials and pathology. Held together with a masterful artistic tapestry of classical, hiphop, and jazz This redemption story will inspire the next generation to keep going. Dontae Winslow is currently a musical director and trumpeter for Queen Latifah, also touring with Justin Timberlake, Lady Antebellum, and Kamasi Washington.
