I was at an event a couple of weeks ago for the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Atlantic. One of the aircraft that was flying was a Swordfish. I took a couple of pictures as it was flying past. Unfortunately they are not the best quality but I could make out the code on it. The code just happened to be 4A. It looked to be painted the same way as the 4H on the box with the code on the side of the fuselage rather than on the tail like in the photo. The code for 4A is W5856 and better photos can be found of it in it's current scheme.

Cheers Adam. I've looked at so many photos now, but it seems there was a brief time between them being painted silver and the standardised (ish) camouflage scheme. The tail code looks to be of just the right time but sadly is the only one i've found, so a little bit of guesswork is needed. I'd love to see one in the air!

It was if I'm correct Irish Linen then covered with dope to shrink it and waterproof it.

Well, a little slow and production is needing help. However you are both new and English so sticking with the channel (like & subbed) let’s see where you take it! Bob England

Looking good so far. I usually download the instructions from Scalemates & print them out. Then I can make notes & mark off parts I've fitted, etc, without any harm to the originals. Looking at the instructions in my Mk2 kit, etc, I can't see that you have done anything wrong. I think the tabs on the seat are in the wrong place, which would explain why the pilot couldn't reach the pedals. BTW, maybe the wibbly wobbly camo lines were painted in rough weather! Stick the topredo halves together now so that you can work on the seams while the other work is drying.

@@nostalgicplastic4323 I bought one of those spider-catching devices, like a mini vacuum cleaner recently. If you put a bit of loose weave fabric over the end with a rubber band, it becomes a great missing part finder too. Those pedals have to have gone somewhere!

It fits to the pilot seatas a brace....Look at the instructions...If you built all the old Airfix you unbox you could follow the diagrams with NO problems...
