There's not really much room to make a deck type by yourself. Card pool is way too low. Everything that can be done decently has already been done. Just netdeck and make small changes based on the meta. Unless you're on the cutting edge of play, that's the best you can really do, if you want to be even moderately successful.

That reminds me, in SSC, Savjz was playing a variant of Kun Ctun druid, and the casters were all like "my god, this is the sign of an excellent player, look how crazy and good he is at creating innovative decks". And then, at some point, someone asks him about that particular deck, and his answer was something like "nah, that deck is super bad, I am just playing it because this tournament is supposed to be fun, but I don't recommend playing it, ever" So... yeah, even when people play professionally, they still play exactly the same decks for a reason. There are not enough cards in the game to make "crazy decks", at least if you want them to be competitive.

I really need an answer to this : at 44:35 Trump had the leeroy combo and a potion deal 8 damage, the opponent had 28 hp and no reno. Why not play the combo when there is no taunt and next turn play the 10 mana deal 8 damage???

earthen ring farseer, siphon soul, mistress of mixtures, etc. Trump wanted to play it safe and make the kill surefire, because if the enemy DID heal, then trump would be in big trouble with no burst left and would have to rely on board presence (which he didn't have vs mountain giant.)

13:45 i think it is almost always correct to play giant on turn 4 and here is an ms paint image i made to explain why i.imgur.com/2zv4qPi.jpg basically if you are going first mountain giant absolutely destroys the twilight drake opener from your opponent, whereas if you play twilight guardian you are only at best equal on board and lose to mountain giant.

I started yesterday a reno lock, crafted jaraxxus and the 2 faceless for it . I have never played with a warlock. Today I reached rank 12 from 20. And now I dropped to 14 0 stars. Having problems with other control decks and rogues. Jaraxxus hasn't helped me so far, while Leeroy did, except from reno mages. Also freeze mages are an ass! Im welcome to any help!

At 16:20 he is actually able to get lethal by attacking the Dirty Rat with Sylvanas. Next, he needs to Mortal Coil the Dirty Rat, which draws Hellfire. Then, he needs to attack the Warlock's face with both other minions (9 damage) and play Hellfire (3 damage) as Sylvanas will die and steal Ragnaros (8 damage). Finally, he has to use his Faceless to copy the stolen Ragnaros (8 damage). The sum being: 9 + 3 + 8 + 8 = 28, which is lethal. So, he would have even won without the additional tap from the opponent the turn beforehand. Since he had 10 mana, he could have drawn a total of two cards; by tapping and through the use of the Coil. Power Overwhelming would have been lethal too as that would have added that one extra damage he needed.

the dreadstead died after he played wind runner, so a fresh dreadstead was on board and then when they both died, death rattles trigger in the order they were played so, windrunner being older then that instance of dreadstead triggered before the dread stead was able to re spawn

It's a travesty to play a warlock control deck with out jarraxus.Renolock without jarraxus gets completely out valued by the following: - reno priest -dragon priest -jade Druid -maly Druid -opposing warlocks WITH jarraxus. -N'zoth rogue -other rogue variants -mid range jade shaman -a few maybes like warrior and in general hurts control matchups.

dirty rat is a bad card that's bad normally and has a 50% chance of maybe being good against a specific deck archetype

dirty rat is good against literally every deck archetype if you're intelligent enough to use it in the right circumstances. unless you just play it randomly with no follow up then at worst you're just trading 1 for 1 with it (if you pull out a dark peddler, or a tunnel trogg, or an ooze, or something like that), at best you're literally getting a free win by breaking your opponent's deck (if you pull out a faceless manipulator, or a reno, kazakus, brann, etc)

Sam Butler all of the cards you mentioned are used mainly only in reno decks, and no. At worst, you straight up lose the game, as shown in this video. Even though he "broke" the combo, he still straight up died just because he gave trump so much tempo. Trump was even using a reno deck.

***** yep, and he used it unintelligently, with no follow up. he literally just threw it out onto the board with no answers for whatever he might pull out. the point of dirty rat in the mirror matchup is to remove threats from your opponent's hand while you still have the initiative to deal with them, so they can't get their effect off. cards like ragnaros, thaurissan, reno, etc are good because they immediately affect the game in a big way and the game is designed so that your opponent literally can't do anything about it. if you allow the card you pull out of your opponent's hand to still get off your effect then it completely defeats the purpose of the card. there's a reason why savjz's rank 1 renolock runs the card.

Sam Butler You said every deck archetype, but all the cards you mentioned belongs in a Reno or combo-scenario decks. That is what Dirty Rat is good for, breaking combos. It looks great right now in the current moment where Reno-decks are top tier, but no, I still wouldn't categorize as 'great' part just now. We're all playing in a borrowed time right now, with cards that will rotate out in a couple of months. Meta will change, one way or the other. If it changes to midrange-y or some controlly kind of deck, Dirty Rat will end up just being one of those rng cards people hate so much in HS. Thijs had one of those case. Opponent didn't use Brann, just Dirty Rat, Rag Lightlord pops out, uses MC tech, which do you think MC tech snatched? Rag Lightlord. Just to clarify more, Dirty Rat is good in decks like Renodecks because it is one of those cards you have to hold on to, almost in a category of those 'dead card until something something happens' cards. Reno allows you to stay alive for that long. Without Reno, Dirty Rat may end up too slow.
