My guess is that the reason a Leper Gnome appeared at the end was because the card which killed the Kraken was played after the Kraken, thus it's death was registered after the Kraken's (just like how deathrattles actiave in the order of play) and it therefore could count of Thermaplug as he was spawned by an effect in between

Mage is why I don't like playing arena any more - if I go against mage, it's gg. You slowly gain board control, then he flamestrikes. You're careful not to overextend - he uses some removal and gains the board. You put up a big threat, he single-target removes it. You go wide, he flamestrikes. No way...
