I really like the flavor of blindside, because it has a very different flavor based on which version it is. A rouge, obviously, blindside someone with a sneak attack, but a warrior can blindside someone by attacking them from their injured side. The genie's flavor is also really good it goes back to that old idea of "you can wish for anything but the person you hate the most gets double what you wish for." I think maybe a good way to balance it would be to make the wish not cost 0, make it cost like 2 or maybe 4

Kind of an obscure fact about blindside is that it's actually weaker in Warrior. Warriors might not have any way to combo this card without playing a whirlwind effect, which then damages the board making the blindside unusable. Definitely would see more play in Rogue.

While in therms of game mechanics the connection does line up, when you think about it I kinda feel like there is a difference between a Warlock tapping into their own life-energy as a source of power and a mage just firiblasing themselves in the face ...

07:09 Diligent Notetaker says hi Jokes aside, making it only work off of enemy spells basically makes it mana bind. It's cheaper, but it can be removed by minion damage, doesn't reduce the cost of the spell to 0, and it's not a secret. And definitely not Card of the Week worthy.

Card Idea 3 mana Rogue spell Card Name: Cursed Spinning wheel Card Text: deal one damage to a minion, if it has no minion type destroy it. The idea behind it is that in sleeping beauty she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and goes into a deep sleep, and as she is a human she is no minion type (she is also not a pirate.) The card could be released in Karajan in the opera as that is the place where there are cards which are based around fairytales, therefor it would fit in quite nicely. Please comment feedback this is my first custom card and I would like some constructive criticism.

@@magimondays1331 Agree with Krawler and I'd add there is to much variance in the effect. 3 mana deal one is just horrendous even for a tech card without target and 3 mana destroy a minion might be a bit too much considering how many decks run tribeless minions. I'd say for the same cost deal 3 damage to a minion and 3 more if it's typeless.

The egg thief card is pretty much entirely for dealing with the “spirit of the ____” cards and things like light well. It also has synergies with curse of weakness (or whatever that attack lowering echo card is called). I do not think that it is good per say, but I understand where it comes from

I think Whysk at 6 mana is perfect, the token deck is Druid or paladin currently so it would either be a third copy of savage roar or a leeroy-like finisher. It wouldn’t guarantee savage roar since it would leave you at 4 mana. It couldn’t get you blood lust cause you don’t have the mana.

Egg Thief would *never* see play he says? I can think of a deck that would love it... an attack debuff priest. Have various spells that lower enemy attack temporarily, Egg Thief and Cabal Shadow Priest. I'm not saying it would currently be a good deck, but it's an option. It should be made more powerful though... as trump said, 4 mana is just too much for that difficult combo.

Feel like Egg Thief's Battlecry should be turned into an end of turn effect. The card still wouldn't see any play, but at least this way it's effect can still be active in the event you randomly summon Egg Thief from a spell or something. Again, it's still a weak as hell effect, but this might allow for some interesting moments in very specific board states.

The problem with the split class design is that it circumvents class identity. if you compare to Magic, there are both multicolor cost and hybrid cost. Multicolor require you to be in both colors, so you can use effects from both colors, while hybrid costs require you to be in either color, and uses effects that are within both color identities. This design is similar to a hybrid card, but uses multicolor effects. Giving Warrior cards with Combo is outside their identity, and the same for Rogue dealing with damaged minions.

in wild stealing a 0 attack minion could actually be broken as hell. in warlock and priest you can reduce minion attacks to 0 with spells and other effects so you could easily have a 4 mana mind control that also summons a 3/4. itd honestly help promote spell control cards that sont see alot of play atm that are just barely not good enough.

I can only think of one deck that would make use of Egg Thief. And that is Quest Shaman. Quicksand Elemental would lower attack by 4 points, so Egg Thief could possibly be good in that specific deck.

Did a bit of thinking about how one could exploit Whysk the Infamous and then something dawned upon me, you could theoretically generate infinite wishes using Lorewalker Cho and therefore potentially softlock the game (be aware, what I'm about to outline is purely theoretical and would not only never work in practice but would also require the co-operation of the other player). Set up: Both players have empty boards except for a Lorewalker Cho each and completely empty hands (except for one player who topdecks Whysk). Said player plays Whysk and gives both players their wishes ( so far, 1-1 wishes). Player A proceeds to play their wish immediately, triggering Player B's wish duplication (since player A played their wish first) in addition to granting them two extra wishes from the Chos (for this we are going to assume that these extra Cho wishes do not activate their duplication effect otherwise this spirals out of control even quicker) now giving us 0-4 wishes. Player B's turn begins (we shall ignore drawing for the moment and assume that both players are in fatigue, it's a thought experiment after all) and they play a wish, granting Player A 2 wishes (one from each Cho) now meaning that the wish count is 2-3. Player A's turn begins and this is where the insanity begins, they play one of their newfound wishes and now Player B gets a grant total of 5 wishes added to their hand (each of the 3 they had before is duplicated plus an additional 2 from the Chos) now resulting in a wish count of 1-8 (or 0-10 if Player A plays both of their wishes, either way works). Continue ad nauseam for as long as you like and you will eventually reach a point where both players can exchange turns endlessly flooding the opponent's hand with wishes over and over again. Again, this is just a silly thought experiment but it does have an actual point in that such a card could very easily have unintended and broken consequences if you can find a way to duplicate played or held cards (more practically speaking, Dead Man's Hand from Warrior could be a problem with this card), this is more a problem with the idea of 'wish' cards in general than this custom card specifically (and why I honestly don't really like Zephrys).

How on earth is that a softlock? The wish cards replace themselves with other cards that can be played, for zero mana. In your scenario you just dump your hand and have 9-10 'perfect' cards to choose from. I think you may have overthought it.

I think design space gets limited by Mire Potioneer a lot the way it is now, because you *must* print enough spells at each cost until it rotates, or choices will be guaranteed and make it too controllable. Easy fix: Knock Discover off of it, make it into adding a random spell that costs the same. That adds chance to the equation and allows Shaman to only have 2 spells that cost 6 if that's the number it should have at that time.
