Edwin Tang Unless you have to Silence a "cannot be targeted by spells or hero powers" minion *without drawing a card*. You can however renounce into priest and get a Kabal Songstealer. This is relevant when you are playing a renounce warlock with Djinni of Zephyr whilst in fatigue and you renounce into OTK Djinni priest, which interestingly also belongs to our target class! :)

Trump! I want to pose you a challenge. You did a few free to play challenges and I'd love to see one soon since the meta has shifted greatly since. However, since you're focussing on reaching legendary on your main account, the extra challenge I want to pose, is to play at most 30 or 60 minutes a day. This is both a bigger challenge, and a better representation of the time a real free to play player can put into the game.

I always thought the design philosophy behind renounce is to make a zoo deck with all the small minions, and when it gets to late game, if you haven't won, you just renounce dankness and hope for late game cards.

If you're gonna make a Renounce Reno deck, always switch out the more garbage Warlock cards for one of the class neutral value cards that most other classes also build off of. Things like Azure Drake, and stuff of that nature. Especially when you consider the amount of classes that have dragon deck compatibility.

Renounce darkness does not work for the simple reason that a deck of random cards which all cost 1 less is a bad deck. Renouncing makes a constructed deck worse even if you didn't have to pay 2 mana and a card to get there.

The theory of the card is being flexible with how fast you want to play. You can play on curve with strong warlock cards in the early game and tap mid game until you feel you are too pressured from the opponent to play more stuff, just like zoo, while still having a backup plan if your cards aren't heavy enough to carry you through the late game (which is a problem zoo often faced) That said the card is pretty bad mostly because the 1 mana discount isn't worth the inconsistency of the cards you get, as too many of the cards in the pool have such low impact that they may be dead cards by the time you cast renounce.

Most succcess I found with renounce warlock was when I got elyse into the mix, since it gives you a second reroll on renounced cards that are completely useless. If you're really bold you could slip in reno into a deck full of warlock duplicates for a more consistent early game, and then renounce those duplicates before dropping reno

You can get as much value as possible out of your warlock cards before renouncing cards like Mortal Coil etc I run a similar deck but with more early game that I can renounce away if it's irrelevant
