I'm back with another enemy decklist! This time, we got to see 21 of the opponent's 30 cards, which were as follows: 2x Meanstreet Marshal 1x Smuggler's Run 1x Doomsayer 1x Faerie Dragon 2x Grimestreet Outfitter 1x Netherspite Historian 1x Aldor Peacekeeper Brann Bronzebeard Wickerflame Burnbristle 1x Truesilver Champion 2x Twilight Guardian 1x Azure Drake 2x Blackwing Corruptor 2x Dragon Consort 1x Grimestreet Enforcer 1x Ivory Knight So, it's on us to figure out the last nine cards. The simple solution, and the one that I think is best in this case (reasoning below), is to just double up on the nine singletons that we saw in the deck, adding a second copy each of Smuggler's Run, Doomsayer, Faerie Dragon, Netherspite Historian, Aldor Peacekeeper, Truesilver Champion, Azure Drake, Grimestreet Enforcer, and Ivory Knight, which gives us this list: 2x Meanstreet Marshal 2x Smuggler's Run 2x Doomsayer 2x Faerie Dragon 2x Grimestreet Outfitter 2x Netherspite Historian 2x Aldor Peacekeeper Brann Bronzebeard Wickerflame Burnbristle 2x Truesilver Champion 2x Twilight Guardian 2x Azure Drake 2x Blackwing Corruptor 2x Dragon Consort 2x Grimestreet Enforcer 2x Ivory Knight I believe that this may well be the decklist without any tech cards, since the second Smuggler's Run, Netherspite Historian, Aldor Peacekeeper, Truesilver Champion, Azure Drake, and Grimestreet Enforcer seem like core cards that would almost have to be in the deck. That leaves us with three slots that are still in the dark (filled by the second Doomsayer, Faerie Dragon, and Ivory Knight in the list above), and unless the opponent cut one of these for a tech cad like Acidic Swamp Ooze, I have trouble seeing why they wouldn't include a second copy over any similar options. Since they included Doomsayer, they would obviously put a second one before including any other anti-agro cards, which means cards like Argent Horserider and Refreshment Vendor probably weren't included. The first Faerie Dragon tips us off to the fact that the opponent was preferring low-cost dragons over higher cost options, which means cards Chillmaw and Ysera probably didn't make the cut. Finally, Ivory Knight tells that the opponent was looking for value instead of finishers in the last slots, eliminating Tirion Fordring, Ragnaros, Lightlord, Doppelgangster, and the like. Honestly, -1 Ivory Knight +1 Acidic Swamp Ooze or -1 Faerie Dragon +1 Acidic Swamp Ooze seem like the only changes that the opponent would have made from the simple list above.

I'm actually really glad to see this type of deck do well. I always liked the idea of a patient, long-game method where a few stat buffs make a huge difference in the the mid- and late-game. If Blizzard made just a few more early game answers to stall aggro decks, this genuinely interesting deck archetype could make a welcome comeback.

He had to consider a lot of options, and not using Doomsayer with blizzard would make it a dead card later on. Plus, the opponent had a lot of powerful minions, and the opponent still had two taunts on hand (Trump could have forseen one of two taunts in hand, since he presumed his foe was a dragon user).

I agree...that was the correct play. Trump was in a pretty terrible spot and I think you have to play for your outs there. With forgotten torch, forehands portal, and fireball in the deck and frostbolt in hand and your opponent having to work through ice block, there is a decent chance of victory. And that isn't including the possibility of kazakus or book giving you the spell.

Missplays!!! On the turn where you have played blizzard + doomsayer (4:10) you could have played polymorph on the taunt guy with divine shield + blizzard and then hit him in the face with alex. That way it could have been a 2 turn lethal, your opponent at that point obviously had no answer to a 8/8 minion.

Trump still had a flame strike + frost bolt + arcane blast for one of them and then alex to kill the other one. His opponent had a true silver champion wich he would have used to clear alex, but then he would almost be dead. Few pings later trump would have won.

Dubious Healed 15 and a gain of tempo. Just because the opponent Aldor-ed Reno and practically trade it for free, doesn't mean it was a wrong play. Trump was most likely expecting the opponent to value trade Reno with Ivory Knight, then flamestrike kills 2 minion. What was the alternative play for Reno, flamestrike? blizzard, frostbolt, soulcaster? The opponent got so much value off from his handbuff, but those are 2 mana 3/2 and 6 mana but 4/4 stat minions, not one of the threatening stat minions from a dragon pally. Spending aoe on them is asking for bigger minions to come. There is so much to explain about value vs. tempo, but I'm afraid it will get too long for a simple youtube comment. Basically, mage don't have complete board clear like twisting nether. Which means if the minion hp is above 4, mage can't clear it. Opponent have 6/5 7/7 7/7 on board. Pops iceblock. You use Reno. Opponent trades and hit face for 13 dmg. You're back to 17 hp with no board. Now you don' have Reno nor iceblock, while opponent still has big minions on board. This is one way of how you lose when ignoring tempo. edit: oh yeah. If you want to see how Reno means nothing when you're losing out on tempo, check Amaz's pre-msog 6 Reno(rogue) vs. Midrange shaman vid, or something along that line. Amaz uses shadowstep, gang up to get a lot of value off of Reno. But everytime he uses Reno he still gets beat down to low hp; use Reno again? gets beat down again.

(I'm the guy in the video) I currently have a 54% winrate over 58 games between ranks 7-4 with the deck. Pirate Warrior is almost always a loss, Midrange Shaman is also not good, Miracle Rogue is bad too, but the other decks are acceptable. You have an excellent matchup vs all Reno decks. I did climb to rank 5 with Dragon Warrior though (61% winrate).
