Thinking only of value, it seems like a misplay. However, as both players were going onto 9 mana the next turn, they would both naturally want to play Frost Lich Jaina, which means that Trump needed to use 2 mana to ping the 1/5 and not have enough mana for Frost Lich Jaina. This allows the opponent to play Jaina first, or if Trump played Jaina and left up the 1/5, he could get value from the 1/5 by killing the Water Elemental, and get additional value from it as a 1/2 poison, forcing Trump to trade in his 4/1 as well, or leave it up for his opponent to ping to spawn another Water Elemental. As the opponent did indeed have Frost Lich Jaina, and played it, this seems relatively likely. However, Trump did not even draw Frost Lich Jaina, so it did not matter.

Yea I run rogue with a bunch of spider generation and save on using Keleseth until I can bounce him back to my hand and have 8+ spiders in the deck :3 You can do a lot of neat things with that card if you are clever about it
