Every Death Battle is decided based on who would win more often out of 100 fights, bc that's infinitely more fair in the larger scope. This is what they mean by comments like "versions of this fight Trunks can win". Sadly not everyone has the common sense to realize that's what they mean, despite the fact that they mention this almost every single episode. Was nice to see someone be chill about it

A very common misunderstanding I see a lot of people make is they don't understand the bar that the winner needs to clear. So long as one fighter can win 51% of the time, that's enough to be declared the winner. This was especially true during the infamous Goku VS Superman arguments. There were a million and one videos that poked holes in DB's argument. But none of them could successfully argue that Goku could win at least 51% of the time, at best they tried to argue that Superman would only win 80% of the time instead of 95%, and then acted like that made the entire series invalid. Under the right circumstances, Yamcha could kill Superman, but that doesn't invalidate the fact that that is a one-in-a-million occurrence, and it's certainly not enough to give Yamcha the win. In legal terms, they acted as if Superman's victory had to be proven Beyond a Reasonable Doubt in order to be considered valid, but didn't realize that that unfairly placed the Burden of Proof onto the Superman side of the argument.

@@jossgoyanko7006 yeah its also why instant kill moves arnt automatically the win condition for a fight like how akuma lost to shao kahn, yeah akuma can get a lucky hit in with it and win...but that doesnt mean he can use that lucky hit to win 51% while shao was scaled to planetary meaning alot of his attacks should 1 shot anyway

See id like to add this is JUST Archie Silver and they didn’t give him the composite treatment just to stroke DBZ ego, IDW Super Silver literally ripped a Virus out of every living thing on Mobius and from the planet itself and sent it right to the sun, theoretically Silver could’ve ripped Trunks apart at a cellular level if they give him that feat

My favorite part of this death battle is how divided the DBZ Community got divided by this, I have people commenting on my comment going "No we are not, we don't do debunks" while 5 Top dbz youtubers try and debunk this result, and all of their debunks can be easily refuted and countered so easily due to the fact that they lack any sort of knowledge of their own character as well. (One of which is why silver should have super forms because that is outside help when in reality Trunks should be even able to use the Key Sword because that requires Toki Toki, Demigra, and Cronoa to physically be there to activate it into the blue state you see in the battle) Over all I think this battle was handled well and those who think other wise are either just not doing the research or have no understanding of either characters power scales.

Hilariously enough even Ian Flynn, the guy who wrote for Silver in the Archie Comics, falls into the camp of saying Silver shouldn't get the Chaos Emeralds or Time Stone because they aren't "inherent" to Silver naturally. As if Trunk's two swords, his time travel armband, and his Dragonball gacha cards don't fall into that exact same category.
