Had a chance to do my first real interview with Curmel Moton since I seen him fight back in the amateurs back in 2022. He had some great things to say about his growth since then, the Floyd Mayweather influence on his boxing career, a Jahmal Harvey fight one day and Naoya Inoue recent comments about American fighters. Great talking to the young kid.

Nonono. Please do not generalize like that. Curmel is one hundred percent correct. I’ve actually never been a Fulton fan, thought he would get knocked out and I was even wanting to see Inoue knock him out simply because I like Inoues style way more. Fulton is garbage and boring Moton is young as hell but he’s definitely not boring.

Before fulton fight many say Inoue never fought a slick american/black fighter and Fulton going to school him. Some even have fulton on their top 10p4p. After Inoue beat fulton easily, Fulton is suddenly good but he aint it. Cermel is talented.

Why cant people acknowledge that Naoya Inoue is just too much for everyone here in the US; Black, Latino, white, Mexican, etc. Line them up and he will brutally beat them from pillar to post. Naoya is an undefeated 4 division champion, and undisputed in 2 weight division. Who else in the boxing world have that record? NONE. Lets focus on someone more beatable for a change and stop pretending that X-Y-Z can do a better job because their record does not support the hype.

If Curmel Moton is the real deal. Get a world champ in his 6th pro fight and be 2 divisions in his 8th. If not, he is not the real deal. I can see him only fighting for a world champ close to his 20th pro fights. Typically, just another protected American boxer.

Fans decide who gets paid in terms of whose more entertaining to them. if we want a fair assessment of P4P,, I would leave it to the fighters and experts, not the fans. Inoue is a excellent fighter who gave his unbiased opinion on why he thinks Bud is #1 P4P, so ill take his word for it

I'll tell you 'how'. Watch all your Inoue videos before you went to Japan. Then watch that fight with Tapales with you and pops screaming that Tapales was doing more than Inoue, that nothing that Inoue threw was landing and that you "needed Tapales to sleep Inoue" to shut up all the Inoue fan boys......and then watch the video where you walk it back and say you re-watched the fight and that Inoue won most rounds before knocking him out. Ever since he (in your mind only) stiffed you on that interview in Japan, your point of view on him has shifted slightly - you would love for someone like a Nakatani or Leo or even Nery (or Moton- lolol) to beat his a$$ because you were butthurt that he wouldn't talk to you - oh, you still maintain that you're completely non-biased but that's bullsh!t and you know it Brendan. You still respect and acknowledge him as a great fighter (because what else can you do?....he is) as proven by the mags on your wall but do you like him as much as you used to? Probably not. And then on the other hand, you came back from Japan with both Kosei Tanaka and Ken Shiro's nuts in your mouth because they did grant you an interview. You liked them before, but just like Inoue, your point of view shifted slightly, but in their case, toward the more positive end of the spectrum. I'll give this to you - you do try to be unbiased and a true fan of boxing but hey, you're only human and bluntly speaking, you're American and you guys are very entitled in the way you think. Generalization? Yes. Somewhat true? Also yes. That's why a r@pist and proven criminal is probably gonna be your president for the second time come Fall. I wouldn't usually take the time to bother with something like this but no one in your comments section can articulate anything past, "You a hater! Inoue smashes everyone!!" I think Curmel is definitely a future champ and its possible he will cross paths with Inoue. I don't think he's ready for Inoue just yet but in a few years, who knows! A match with Casimero might be good too, who I think is a tick below Inoue. And who knows, if Inoue comes to America maybe they can arrange a sparring session with Curmel and Nayoa.
