Actually handling plates with gloves is far harder than without them because the plates like to stick to the gloves
@aspiechan4203 жыл бұрын
I always wear gloves when doing this! Had seen a buddy get hurt really bad on plates.

Why are you nailing the plys together on the rollers? Are you getting paid extra to do it?

Matt Whats yes if the trusses are ordered as a girder aka 2ply... They will be more expensive

It’s a good idea to nail it before it gets to the job site, I always see problems when framers do it in the field they don’t take the time to make sure they are flush all around then problems start and they want to blame us. Problem they are too heavy for them to bring up specially if they’re not using a crane.

What's the production required daily? 2kft maybe? For 2 people?
@KalebWaldner4 жыл бұрын
I couldn't say. It's never the same.. Jobs differ from one to the other and work/production ratio is always different. The requirements tho, get em done as fast as possible lol

@@KalebWaldner The truss company in USA that I worked with (BFS) is pretty huge on trusses and very busy. Here in Canada the truss jobs are not as busy as USA and we slow down a lot during winter. I work 2nd shift with 3 other guys 🤣

@victorrosales96593 жыл бұрын
@@NobodyCares71 and should I get a smooth faced hammer or those hammers that have those little spikes. My guess would be smooth so that the plates don’t get all stamped and leave the marks
@NobodyCares713 жыл бұрын
@@victorrosales9659 I got the non smooth face because only 18 gauge plates are really what need hammering. 20 gauge plates bite the wood with one hit for me. But that’s just my experience. Been building for about a year almost year and a half.
