I have all sorts of ideas about how it could do that and what the results would be but I’m gonna restrain myself from writing an essay lmao. I’ve actually written a few fics about it heh.

@@thedoodlebug when I saw the trailer for season 3, in which Yunnan and Olivia rescued Marcy, only to be engulfed by that light, I had theorized that maybe Darcy pretended to have been defeated, then pretended that Marcy got back control of her body with the objective of being taken to either Sasha or Anne in order to practice psychological warfare in them, and the light was them actually using the Box, being teleported to Earth, where they were apprehended by the FBI and the Agent X. The Core's goal would be to use the government's own fear and paranoia in order to arrest Anne and probably dissect her, besides creating a cult inside of the FBI (formed by the most fanatic and derranged of the agents) to create inside chaos.

As great as the art is I’d like to touch on how I interpret the song as there are many different interpretations. The way I see it it’s a very tragic tale about a friend frantically trying to stop another friend from un-aliving themselves, while in the meantime not only does the first friend bring a lot of toxic positivity to the table the other is too lost in their mindset to listen to the first, and based on that last line about how things don’t turn out as planned, I’m sure we all know what that implies. This becomes way sadder when you compare it to amphibia and the characters they represent and I’m so glad that Disney did not take this route and gave us the bitter sweet ending we all deserved

well, there were no tears, when Marcy got stabbed, my dad and my brother didn’t care that much (my brother didn’t like Marcy), and my dad said “I bet she will be revived”, so uh yeah. and then my sister said “Marcy better not be dead forever…” and my mom was just shocked. of course, no one in my family really liked marcy (except for me lol) and so they weren’t super devastated. now we have finished the show and everyone in my family liked it! my mom and sister cried at the final episode :’)
