Give a Shout out to Bill Hamilton a serious Veteran, Excellent Father and Husband. He and I have been friends very close for 54 years. He is a US Army Retired Veteran from Cour 'Dalene Idaho. I went in the Army at 17 and I met him in Germany, and we drove the 8th Infantry Band Buses together. He has helped me throughout my life as a mentor and friend like a Brother. He fell at home and had a serious head injury and today they are pulling the plug in the CCU unit. This is happening as I type this and believe me the Military makes friends for life. I owe my life to Bill he was an outright Hero. God Bless Him and his Family and everyone that knew him. He and I were excellent Pilots he took me for my first Helicopter Ride and I took him for his First Fixed Wing ride in my Airplane decades ago. Again, I never ask much of anything but a Shout out to Bill Hamilton is a shout out to all Veterans who gave it their all. Thank you I would appreciate it. He loved Big Trucks and liked your channel.

As an auto technician in a state I was required to pass a state run test in order to work on vehicles that were fitted with emission components and without that state certification on my sleeve I could not work on to repair or emission test any vehicle in that state, the same thing could be done for big rigs on DOT inspections!!! We often get a refund on our IFTA taxes. The key is to buy your fuel at the cheapest pre-tax price on your route, no matter what State you're in. Often times the higher tax states have cheaper fuel so you get that money back. It's a lower cost overall. You can still ask for a voluntary inspection. We just volunteered for one last week in Alabama and they were happy to do one for us.

the truck lights look sick but down under it's illegal to have red lights facing forward. the idea is if you see red lights in the distance you know you're looking at the rear of vehicle. I think white lights are similar, if you see white lights you know it's coming towards you, I guess if you see red and white you know you're looking at the rear and it's reversing towards you, with the red tail lights and the white reversing lights.

Filling out the IFDA return used to be part of my job at our company. Since Ontario was a high tax jurisdiction and most of the other states we travelled in were lower taxed we usually got a refund. IFDA is designed that you pay each jurisdiction based on the mileage you did in that state and their tax rate. SC has a relatively low tax rate which means if you buy most of your fuel there but drive in states with higher taxes you will usually have to pay out but I am sure you are aware of that. Happy trucking. Hope things keep picking up for you.

What is 100 times 1,000? Easy math hack for you to try (and look impressively smart to the young-uns) 1 X 1 = one, then just add the zeroes up so 1+00000 = 100,000. whatever the numerical number is just add the zeroes behind it (600 X 5,000 = 6X5 is 30 then add in the zeroes on the end and you have 3,000,000 (30 + five zeroes) Keep on keepin on!

They have a prep pass in their cab that alerts them to pull in or to keep rolling have to pay extra for it though

Have a good weekend guy's. Waiting for almost 2 day's to get unloaded or loaded makes me mad. One company told a driver that he can't leave his truck. And he was like I gotta go to the bathroom. And what they told him ended up having him leave the shipper and police department called. Lucky that police department was in his side and the person who said the racist remark was arrested. And they company was sued by us and the driver. That company is not longer in business.
