I layer everyday pretty much, even with the 5mm 24” Byzantine. I can’t see anything noticeable by looking at them(except minuscule scratches)even after years of layering. I love mixing up the layers. It’s a unique look that you rarely see on people. My 3mm 22kt 22” Franco won’t see another chain though lol. That’s a solo piece🔥🔥🔥🔥

Since been told it's the way they have them transported from Italy...obviously not on the top of their game, if it were me I'd be making sure they were wrapped or somthing so they get to people in as pristine condition as possible.

I'm planning on getting a 20 inch 2.5mm rope with the mini crucifix and a 3.5mm d/c franco with a large lion both in 18k for everyday use. I know 18k is softer than 14 but is it too soft to the point that I can't wear it for everyday use? I just love the color of 18k but I'm afraid it will scratch wayyy too much and break. Sad truth is yea it does. Definitely wouldn’t wear a pendant doing anything active where it’s sliding around a lot. I have an 18k chain n pendant and have always been extremely careful with my jewelry and haven’t noticed anything personally. But I know if I wore as frequently and careless as most then absolutely it would slide around and scratch

Your nearest jewelry store should be able to clean it in a vibration bath with mr clean. Should be free too. It’ll look brand new🔥🔥🔥🔥 that’s what I do. I take about 10 different chains at a time to get them cleaned. They look good and new when I take them in and they look brand new when they are cleaned lol🔥🔥🔥🔥

I would say polishing with the gold cloth doesn’t really remove tiny amounts of gold like a polishing wheel that jewelers use. The cloth isn’t as abrasive or heavy duty. I say this because a polishing cloth won’t remove scratches but the polishing wheel or any other tool for polishing can.
