Man, this is as real as it gets. Something went wrong, he clearly feels like he screwed up, and boy God you can see he regrets it because he's just totally cut up about it. I reckon he'd give just about anything to have another go of it but she's moved on and fair enough. She didn't get what she needed the first time round and she has it now, but you can see, right there, that if he had put in the goods, they would be together, and happy, and healthy, and powerful, and you can see they both know it. One can only hope that she is getting what she needs and deserves now, and that he will take this lesson forward, and when and if he sees the right person to invest that time and energy and love into, he will do it as well as it needs to be done and they will reciprocate and they can be happy, if not together, then at least for each other. Fucking hope so, because if not, this video is tragic as fuck.

There is no such thing as "letting your ego get in the way". The things he felt back then and that caused trouble in the relationship were real, not imagined. And if he would be in the same situation again today he would feel the same. Sure, he could choose to ignore it, but that wouldn't lead anyone anywhere. I don't know the circumstances of what happened in their relationship, but it sounds much like he was having an issue with how things were developing (the friends thing) and then she felt bothered, fought back and ultimately it ended (which I feel she implied when she said "I wish you felt that way back when we were still together (aka leave me alone)". The bottom line is: If relationships end up in constant fighting then it will not work out and it really is no ones fault and no one could have changed anything about it.

why feel bad for her boyfriend? I don´t get it. They are not teens, they are adults, and they had a serious relationship, so of course those people are important in the live. Why just erase a person after a breakup? For a certain time, they wanted to be the other be the partner until the end. That doesn´t make sense. A close connection to people can be a very healthy thing. I won´t just stop having contact with a person that I can trust only because an other person says to me to quit.

I get you. The person I'm currently mad at times because my ex I broke up with still messages me. I mean I was with my ex for three years, three years is something in a lifetime at least in mine so far, and I don't want to be a dick, and they meant and still mean something to me, so yeah I'm not erasing them from my life. Breaking up was so hard but I was not happy anymore so I had to own up to my feelings and do it. Growing up sucks balls but that's how it works.
