All the lyrics serve as double entendres about his problems with intimacy in relationships (Amber Rose at the time) but also for how he portrays himself to the media. This is directly after the Taylor Swift incident where he was widely hated. Listen to the lyrics “I always find something wrong” “I’m so gifted at finding what I don’t like the most” represent how he’s addicted to the spotlight, so he’ll always do what he can to stay in the spotlight. This song is pretty much an admittance that he knows what he’s doing is a sickness, but he doesn’t know what he’d do without his fame and attention (“I don’t know how’d I manage, if one day you just up and leave”) The end of the song with his muffled voice is a stylistic and artistic decision representing how he feels when he actually talks to the media. His thoughts and ideas are clear in his head but he can never articulate it right. He gets portrayed as the villain because it’s easy, but if you take time to process what he’s saying you’ll understand where he’s coming from. The song holds such a special place with Kanye fans because it’s indicative of his whole career. We see this cycle every few years with him. The Taylor incident, “you ain’t got the answers sway”, the drake beef, the maga hat, “George bush doesn’t care about black people”, and more. It’s easy to label him as crazy, but the reason why this song is so brilliant is because it encompasses an entire career of controversy. It doesn’t justify it, but rather apologizes for it and tries to explore why he does it in this therapeutic way.

I feel like him and Taylor need to have sex….why? YeTay would be FAMOUS. (Btw I have never heard more arrogant lyrics in my life than the og bar. Like there’s literally NO way he’s serious but also NO way he’s joking, it’s just bizarre. I still hate the line cause Taylor’s not a sex object and was mislead as to what Kanye would eventually say in the song. I think it’s an iconic line, but also like god I’m sorry to Taylor like she didn’t ask for any of that, and that line will live forever in music history now, even if it deserves to be forgotten) Anyway if they ever reconcile and make music together, I’d be so happy. There’s literally zero reason why Ye went after Taylor, so I’d understand that never happening, but the catharsis of hearing them laugh and sing together would most likely break my brain. Hope no one read this but if so, do you think they should stay out of each other’s way? Or reconcile and attempt friendship? Personally, even if it crashes and burns as I’m sure it would, I think that would be a monumental show of kindness and forgiveness and possibility. Again, there’s zero reason why Taylor should, but she’s always been a role model for finding happiness in life, and yeah the more positivity the better, I’m lookin forward to an interesting future between them anyways
