Derek Prime: Father, Grandfather, Man of God

Derek Prime, Alistair’s mentor and coauthor of ‘On Being a Pastor,’ has gone home to be with the Lord, but his legacy continues to impact pastors throughout the world. In this breakout session, pastors Jonathan and Andy Prime-Derek’s son and grandson respectively-illustrate how Derek Prime was first a disciple of Jesus before being a pastor and consider how his way of life and faith in the Lord Jesus can be imitated for greater Gospel impact.

Derek Prime I only learned about through Alistair mentioning so often through the years and with such love. it was a real privilege today to learn more about this humble man from his son and his grandson. The prayer at the end: "May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God our Father and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all evermore. Amen." Is so beloved by me.

Derek was my first pastor at Lansdowne, in my childhood, mid to late 60's. Such an annointed ministry, and his recorded sermons today are such a source of encouragement. 🙏
