Self-Control

No one is perfect. We resolve to “try harder,” yet our self-effort always falls short. In fact, our response to temptation exposes our heart’s desires: when we sin, it demonstrates that we love the sin more than we love God. In this message, Alistair Begg explores the need for self-control as we seek to live lives pleasing to our Lord. How can self-control become our “new normal”? As we depend on God’s grace, we are enabled to live within boundaries He has established, motivated not by rules but by our love for Him.

Never perfect like Jesus until I see the Face of my Savior. A sinner until that “twinkling of an eye”. When Jesus comes back or I die one time before. This worldly never any but a battle. Sinclair Ferguson said, “imagine the struggle no more, that moment❗️This world, flesh and the devil. Worse when Christian because now you know!!! Yes, sin is an inside job. I am ill. It's a very all consuming illness for which there is no remedy, cure, or anything I have any control of how/ when it manifests itself. It makes me very sad, any time I say that whatever is a by-product of it, my family thinks I'm seeking attention, they're also mad at me because it makes me frightened as a rule ( it's a genetic illness that keeps me IN fight or flight)... Is my being sad about it self pity?

So Al can we lose our salvation? I fight with self control and that makes me lose my confidence in being set free.

No you can not lose your salvation. It’s not yours to lose. Salvation is a miracle and a guarantee to a genuine convert.
