I have read the story over and over. I have heard it preached many times in my 30 years as a Bible believing Christian. This is the first time it's ever hit me this hard that God will do what he says he will do despite us. 🙌❤🙏

King David loved the LORD, but sin was also a reality in his life. Thank God, Jesus's Grace covers us daily, and give us the strength to take a stand against sin.

God was always pursuing him, but although he loved the Lord, he wasn’t always pursuing Him. That’s why God said David was a man after His heart. But God gradually changed him. David had some hard challenges, but eventually came out refined. God never left him.

Joab had a vengeful heart, evil maybe / maybe not, but he obeyed the king, the same king who put all the blame on him for Abners death
