Indeed A. Begg challenges the mind to think of righteousness and of heavenly things. Glory to God for using this man to preach JESUS at this compromising and highly relativistic generation. From Victoria BC Canada.

Alistair looks tired, a bit worn. I pray for him to be rejuvenated by the Holy Spirit and by Christ Jesus. His teachings are very much needed in these dark days here now and those coming

I have long been listening to Pstr Begg's interesting expositions just straight from the Wondrous Word. For my practical view in this message, David's early model became their own boldness to repel, his faith then their continuing drive to therewith excel . Too, Christ's side will always conquer no matter.

Numbers 10:7 But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow a long blast, but you shall not sound an alarm. From my reading this morning thought it was very interesting.

It's common to name a son after the father. Given the years between David killing Goliath, it's reasonable with the genetics involved, this was most likely Goliath's son named after his father.

David was side lined, no longer allowed to participate in battle. We also have "the time when kings went to war, but David stayed home." Has it occurred to you that the affair with Bathsheba was an attempt to grasp at his manhood? His own little "middle-aged crazies" for which he paid a very high price.
