Hello I have a new trx4 sport. Love it don't plan on switching. One thing. U removed the sliders I had a idea where using a cut off wheel and cut off the slider that sticks out. So now it's still tighter and u can use the body mount so it still has some strength on the side rather than flimsy with nothing there 🤷🤷🤷

Bow house skid and high clearance links now and she will be a beast. If you kept the stock servo location you could have moved battery all the way forward with a custom tray . And removed the heavy plastic battery tray truck becomes insane when done

For flat skids InTheWorksRC makes a flat skid (even with the bottom of the chassis is rails) And brazen Scale Rc Makes a Completely flat skid. I recommend A Element stealth X transmission in the trx4 has the overdrive, and lower gearing really helps for slow climbs. anyways great video as usual🤙🏻

A little brass up front and the battery up front would make a big difference. I climb stuff with mine and it’s weight bias is about 62-38. Where are you at now for weight bias?

I put the desert lizard 110mm 2 stage shocks in mine and it seems to keep the whole truck, especially the nose, more planted, but I had to get a different servo mount. I know the 100mm will just bolt on no problem.

In my area high clearance links are a must you could try that maybe fix that low belly
@fishnrc2943 жыл бұрын
I was waiting for this next segment. It’s amazing what it was able to accomplish. I’m thinking it will eventually go up that last steep climb I’d love to see you do a few more things to improve it & retry it. I’ve just started working on mine & overall I’m already impressed. I know people lower the body so I’ll be doing that & cutting the panels & removing the front bumper. I’ve already moved the rear to where yours is. Those tires look huge compared to the stock ones. I’ve got to get the front mount to move the servo & I’m getting the brass one & not sure if I’ll get the front battery mount or LCG one yet. There’s so many things you can do to the Sport truck that makes it more appealing. What battery back are you using it must be a shorty 3s. I think a little more weight in the front & dual stage foams & it may make that steep climb. Thanks for the video & Happy New Year. I’ve been wearing my WDW hat out when crawling & as soon as the sun comes back in rainy So Cal it’ll be nice to keep the sun off me.

My sport is at about the same place except with dual stage foams and brass portal covers…. and a huge C10 body, 1080, stock motor and a 12t pinion. I’ve kinda decided that I like it where it is. It’s planted, tough and fun to drive. I’ll continue to tinker, move weight around and try to make it better at being the truck it is, but I can’t see where more money is going to add without taking away. Of course I’ve also decided that I want to build a higher performing (and lighter) rig on straight axles and an element transmission.
@westdesertwheeler3 жыл бұрын
I think you’ve made smart choices and knowing when to build a different style rig is important the TRX will never keep up with some of my custom crawlers and that’s fine it doesn’t have to. But it is a good truck!

Hi Logan. You are using a quality servo with the Traxxas TX transmitter which does not allow you to set end points. Will this cause burn out of the servo ? I am just about to change my transmitter so I can set steering servo end points before purchasing a quality servo. Am I wasting my money replacing the TX transmitter?

The way you drive why not try out full droop front(remove spring), mount small battery front(3d print from thingiverse). Theres high clearance slider on the site too. Stick to the canyon trail tyre but mod the treads.

You should try the element hd Enduro I'ma Traxxas fan it's the king as I refer to the TRX but the element with different tires than stock I put super swamper predator compound and a winch on the front same as my Traxxas and a winch in rear same as Traxxas and the Traxxas servo went out in a hour of running first time so it has a jx servo were the element comes all reedy and it's been rock solid so the TRX has a ninmiss and I believe that those few changes made them neck and neck so try out the HD Enduro next Logan enjoy the channel man
@Ginga_Ninja_RC3 жыл бұрын
You really need to get those Krawlers in the G8 compound. I have used both and the G8 is far better in my opinion. The Predator compound is too soft and the lugs will roll instead on biting in. Especially down there with the warmer weather. The Krawlers also really do get better as they wear in.

Until I got my Tamiya Hornet as a kid RC cars were unbelievably horrible in the 80s. I had plenty. My parents bought me a Jeep and a dune buggy called the Sandmaster for Christmas that didn't even have the power to go across the carpet in my living room and they weren't cheap either.
