That’s a great project. More weight and slower gears would make it crawl and dig

Thanks. The TRX-4 has quite a few brass upgrade parts to increase its weight. Probably could use more!

Dad why are you looking through the window and why do you have that controller? Mom told you to shovel the driveway Dad:

That's pretty neat. It moves quite a bit of snow and at least makes it fun. I have a TRX4 with the 4 channel TQi radio and would be interested to learn more about the additional channels you are running off your TQi to operate the snow blower. Would this device work for a winch and lights too? Where are you located? Thanks.
@bens36415 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is fun and figuring out the best way to attack the snow is a challenge. There is no reason why the add-on radio could not control any commonly controlled r/c device that normally can be interfaced with a receiver. So, for a winch, I would probably put a cheap ESC on one of the channels and wire it directly to the winch motor. I am in the northeast USA. For lights, there is probably some sort of FET/relay that could be connected for on/off type devices. I suppose you could use an on/off control for the winch too, but speed control mightbe useful......I'll have to look.

That probably does wonders with 1/16th inch of snow

You should see it with 2/16ths! Silly beyond words, but somehow mesmerizing.

Had an rc bike when I was a kid from toys r us and it sucked. Went back with my mom and got a hummer he rc car. Only rc car I ever had. But this is cool. Imagine construction being changed by remote control vehicles.

I have thought the same thing, imagining a fleet of small RC construction equipment working away like ants. It could happen!

Yes, I think tracks would be a great addition. Next winter will give them a try. The chains do help though!
