I remember one specifically where Eugene stated that his mother would yank him backwards if he was caught slouching because 'slouching is for ugly people'. It's quite possible that the person you replied to has watched their videos, listened to Eugene, and came to that assumption.

Most definitely! I feel like this is the case with all of the guys, but Zach even more so. You can tell now that they've had their channel for awhile they've just started being their actual selves, and have started leaning away from the personas they made for themselves when they were still on buzzfeed. Watching him spell, I kind of suspect Eugene works a little like I do, where you're better off rattling off the spelling without really thinking about it; thinking too hard about how the word is spelled gets you tangled up and confused, so it's better not to even let your conscious mind enter the equation. I have dyscalculia and that's how I feel about numbers. Whenever someone tries to tell me their address or phone number or whatever, I'm like "Stop, this is completely useless, just write it down" I'm not dyslexic though so I do alright with spelling. I think it's because, from what I've seen in researching mental conditions, is that people like me, non-dyslexics, see words as a whole, while dyslexics see it as a collection of individuals. Dyslexia is associated with better understanding of 3d space and architecture ability, which is why many people with it experience letters as flipping around and spinning, because your brain wants to check out the shape from all angles as if it were a physical object. Unfortunately this scrambles the intended arrangement, in which the meaning is encoded. You understand the letter better but lose track of the word. Just a thought, can you read better in cursive?

There’s multiple like ways(?) to have dyslexia so sometimes the words do that but other times like words just disappear or appear. It’s kinda like a mix and match of what kinda thing will try to mess you up. Everyones different in the magical world of dyslexia. It’s really weird. Spelling is personally my area that I really suck at. I can personally read fine but then I can’t read out loud for some reason. Like I said mix and match lol. Also as the mixed words may be for some but others may not? Sometimes for me they just disappear. I don’t know how much that is different is from dyscalculia (I don’t know much about it I’m sorry) but that’s the kinda general thing about it though from the perspective of a dyslexic person!

@@crystalunicorn1501 I love seeing other dyslexic people with similar dyslexia presentations. People tend to only really know the kind where words are moving around the page. I can read pretty well, quite fast really, but spelling is the area I really suck at too. My teachers never understood what was going on because I could read so well and they saw I constantly had a book with me but my spelling never improved. For some reason one of the other things I struggle with is I can't read cursive or other people's handwriting generally. My brain says those aren't words and I end up having to figure out each individual letter so it takes forever. Thank god for autocorrect and typed text.
