Fuck yeah to Eugene not doing the podcast because he doesn’t want to! Like, that’s my favorite part of this. I love the guys doing things they love and that are good for them, and if the pod doesn’t serve Eugene then so be it. This brought me so much joy for some reason.
@Fragglerocker932 жыл бұрын
I read a comment the other day that got me thinking about Eugene’s response and not being on the podcast: Eugene was not a kid/baby person, but when he had the opportunity to be around Wess when he was still a baby and be a part of his life, that changed Eugene’s perspective. Additionally, he grew really close to Ariel as well, and you can see that closeness in the videos with them together. There’s another level of betrayal Eugene is feeling, in addition to what everyone else is feeling: This person whom he had been friends with for over a decade, and let him be a part of his family, broke his heart. That’s just my take on it.

Same - made me so happy!! Honestly, I had stopped watching the tripod and came back for the drama... But, one thing that had made me stop was how forced it seemed in some aspects, and I think a big part of that is it not serving Eugene. So I am excited to tune in more.

@R Smith Obviously Ariel and the children have it worse right now, but they also lost a friend they've had for over a decade and who they started a business with. I do agree that this person's comment doesn't quite work in this situation but they can still definitely feel bad over what happened??
@proudtobeme1ashkente2 жыл бұрын
@R Smith It really depends on the -ships in question. Some friendships go way deeper than romantic relationships, even when children are involved. Unfortunately, a lot of people just settle with whomever to have a family, but the real deep emotions and connections are reserved for their friends and possibly affairs. But yeah, in this case I agree that Ariel and the kids are likely the biggest victims and the friends are a close second.

Their willingness to talk candidly about their emotions and be as transparent as they were able to be about the situation is so nice to see. They dealt with this better than I’ve seen anyone in any comparable situation do so and I think that speaks to their compassion. Keith: worrying about how this could negatively affect even people who have only appeared on the channel as a guest Ned: didn’t even care enough about his wife and kids to stop himself from cheating and destroying his family.
@christinebenson5182 жыл бұрын
Some people just don't care. I have an aunt who openly flirted in from of her teenage daughters. She's cheated on her husband for over 20 years, but he has never cheated on her. Both of their fathers cheated as well. Some people are just selfish. It could be that Ned does love Ariel and his kids but wanted someone else too. I'm not trying to excuse his behavior, just trying to rationalize it. Side note: when I saw that Gesiel moved out I told my mom "She's divorcing Tom's ass. You know he lied about retiring. She should leave him because he clearly puts his wants and needs above her and their kids." Most of that could be true of Ned as well, for all I know.
@liamtremblay64862 жыл бұрын
I blame both. They're both cheaters but also enablers. He or her can't cheat if the other didn't enable it and told their significant other but they both chose to be cheaters and enable eachothers toxic behaviors. All 1 of them had to do was say no to the other and report it. Neither of them did. Both are equally toxic. she knew his wife personally and worked with/for her. That’s utter disrespect to Ariel and her own fiancé who PUT A RING ON IT. just think I hear in a lot of videos that it wasn’t her fault and I wanted to point out that they’re both in the wrong in some ways. She's not a victim, she has a HISTORY OF GOING AFTER MARRIED MEN, and everyone needs to realize that. I get that there was a power imbalance, but at the root of it all they have a very established friendship. I still think that they both should be held accountable to the same standards regardless. They messed around, hurt BOTH of their partners AND hurt their friends. I hate that his statement says "may have hurt", no you hurt your wife and family knowing full well what you were doing, no maybe there. Also Alexandria has known them for years so she fully knew he was married and had kids. She threw her 11 year relationship away while also helping destroy another family. There's also a clip from their podcast telling a story about pressuring a guy to have shots with her even though his gf is pregnant and doesn't want too. Hell they even had a video of her trying on wedding dresses for her upcoming wedding. People can keep bringing up power imbalance but she's a grown ass woman. They both knew better and both suck. What really bothers me is that Alex appears to be unwilling to take any kind of responsibility for her actions. She is a grown ass adult woman. She was not forced or pressured into anything. She willingly went along with a sexual relationship with this married man, her boss for over a year. Willingly. If she was not happy about anything, she knows she could have spoken to the other guys if she was uncomfortable. She knows that. How dare she.

I got to see Keith in Rosemont, IL with Lewberger just a few days after they found out. Keith - I thought you were phenomenal just as is, but to know that you were also dealing with the turmoil of this issue - only a truly talented and professional can handle this with such grace. Much love to you and Zach, Eugene and the rest of your staff.

Keith saying that the stages of grief are a circle is probably one of the most relatable, wise things that everyone can take away and use in their own lives. I don't think he knows how significant that statement was! 💛

Yes! I agree! My PTSD acts like that, as if the stages of grief are repeating and going in circles, so Keith saying that made me feel understood, and it made me have a lot more sympathy for him :)

Oh ABSOLUTELY! People act like "oh, you just work through the stages of grief and then -bam- you're good to go, have you got to 'anger' yet?" but it doesn't work like that *at all* I felt very seen when he said that!
