@@piofernandezlopez7376 salvo 4 platos que entran bien, tortilla, paella, croquetas...no hace gastronomia española allí, porque no les gustaría, sino un “invento” con productos españoles adaptado a gusto USA.

@@Provo647 Por supuesto, al final se tendrá que adaptar a los gustos locales del norteamericano medio, y a lo que le permitan los medios de difusión en tiempo limitado. Veo difícil que en un programa de esos se vaya a complicar la vida mostrando como se preparan unos callos con garbanzos, o unos riñones al Jerez. Pero la proyección que sigue dando de los productos y lugares de España sigue siendo muy grande.

José un día tienes que explicar cómo fué la primera comida de acción de Gracias Española en el primer asentamiento europeo en Norteamérica, San Agustín de Florida, había sido fundado por Pedro Menéndez de Avilés. Solo un mes después de la fundación de San Agustín , Pedro Menéndez de Avilés celebró una comida muy parecida a lo que se conmemora por Acción de Gracias en honor a sus aliados saturiwas. El menú probablemente incluyó pavo, venado y guiso de cerdo salado. Además, europeos y nativos asistieron después a una solemne misa.

@@raidensergi2378 take into account that you acquire the accent from your parents, not from the Spanish lesson at school. A different story is if they lived in Latin America. There they could probably jump from one accent to the other. Regarding their English, notice that José's daughters speak American English. In other words, the influence of just some Spanish lessons is not big, but the country you live in is.

1:09 i find it appalling that, by customs law, no one can bring pork meat from Spain and yet here we have an Ibérico Ham, authentic, from Spain. And then the Andrés family boats about having always a pig leg at home growing up. How can this be? So only us, average joe schmoes have to abide by this law? Because every time I bring a simple bocadillo from Spain, it gets confiscated! Seriously. Can someone explain this to me?
