Great tips you are God sent for us trumpet mortals. Question:#1 Is it ok to play low F(below the staff) by extending the trumpet's third slide? [Pressing all three valves]. On the high-end part of my daily routine, #2 if I cannot crack that high e and f above high C after a while, does that mean I need to keep on trying to make it happen every day?

Dude long time Trumpet player. A few months ago I was struggling with mouthpieces and placement. I found your video on setting up your chops before playing. It has totally changed the way I play and I’ve stuck with it. Ironically the mouthpiece that works best for me with that setup is a Bach 1 1/2 C. I won’t change that setup, tighten the corners, flatten the chin and go. Why? Because it works every day. My hard high note is Eb. The low G is very strong. I’m thankful I found that video. Good job.

Is there anything in particular you’d suggest for breaking past the F# below the staff? I know tunes don’t really go lower than that for trumpets, but it’d be a useful skill. I’m definitely checking out other videos.
