@@diasspeed buddy lokma in turkish means bite, mind telling me why a supposedly “greek food” is so close to a turkish word. Btw we call them lokma. Same could be said with shawarma which when translated, LITERALLY MEANS CEVIRME WHICH MEANS TO ROTATE.

@@numanbastug6 the typical silly argument I hear all the time from silly Turks like you. You know, the name does not prove the origin of something because names can be changed. Same thing that happened with baklava. Turkish name has prevailed today, but this dessert existed in Byzantine with a Greek name and before that in Syrria again with different name. Same thing with dolma or kokoretsi. Turkish names today for old recipes existed in ancient Greek cities. In ancient Athens, they had kokoretsi and had Greek name "plehti". Because Ottomans took so many recipes and gave them Turkish names, you think these recipes are of Turkish origin? Ah, another silly Turk repeating such a silly argument. The first Turks of the Asian desert were nomads riding horses and eating meats and dairy. Do you think they had any of these foods and sweets that today you call Turkish? Go learn some history of your ancient ancestors.
