The DJI Tello is pretty great for the price. But after a few (a lot) of crashes I had some trouble getting mine to turn out. After some trial and error I found a method that works consistently for me. If you have this problem give it a shot.

Remove the battery, plug in the USB to charge, and then hold the power button and slide the battery in.

I let my Tello sit for about a year i was out of town got back and couldn't charge the batteries got a new battery and it won't charge i guess its no good now i did like it when it worked.I just got a mini 2 se i hope i didn't waste money.

Here is how I fixed mine: Press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds when the Tello is powered off, and release it when the green indicator turns off. Then the indicator will pulse red. Connect to the Tello's Wi-Fi and update the firmware again by using the Tello app. Make sure that before you update the firmware, the firmware version indicated on the app should be "00.00.00.00"

Great video. I have an issue which I hope you or someone in the comments can help me with. When I charge my Tello via the in-drone charger, the LED is blue and will blink once per second and then after a while l light constantly for a while before returning to blinking. When I try to turn on the aircraft, there is no LED signal at all. I've tried your method too, but there is no response from the LED. I suspect the power button itself may be faulty, but I'm not sure how much resistance the button is supposed to provide. I would be thrilled to solve this issue! Thanks in advance.

Same for me mine was in the Drone when it was not used for about a year, which killed the battery. Always charge batteries and disconnect them before storage... lesson learned for me

Hello i had the same problem, i fixed it when i opened the tello, i found one of the motor wires , a black one, making contact with cooper from the pcb, that because i changed one of the motors and the thermofit i used slip a little bit and the wire was exposed.

Also when i updated the tello app to the latest version there was a problem with the video , all i could see was green lines, the image looked good only when taking pictures. I realised it was the tello app when i opened the TelloFPV app i bought at the play store and everything worked fine on the third party app(TelloFPV).

I can turn drone only via charger. I have to put in charger for one sec with battery in, and the plug out the charger. In this way drone stay turned on. But it's useless to have 3 batteries. Only if I will have power bank by myself... Anyone have any idea except guarantee?...

I had a similar issue. I took of the bottom cover off and the switch push mechanism had broken (two small bits feel out). I drilled a small hole in the cover above the switch and now use a toothpick to turn on the switch by pushing on the switch until it clicks.

i was just in the same position with my 2 week old Tello. Popped my Tello open and discovered the power switch component had fallen apart. Completing express service form right now, and will send in for repair as soon as they send me the ship label. I asked about just having them send me the tiny component, but they do not distribute them, only in house. Good luck!

I'm a electronics technician, be extremely careful when doing that. You might have a cracked capacitor or broken solder joint which could cause harm to you or the drone. Please have someone look at it when you can. Best wishes.
