Stu, many thanks for giving us yet another helpful lesson on how to spice up and add interest to our practice and playing. John Prine was a lyrical genius and although his songs live on, he will be missed dearly.

Hey, Stu- Let's say that I've a tune I've made up, being transmitted from my head to my fingers to the uke, and I wish to know what chords I could possibly apply, without going throug a gazillion chords in a chord reference book - what would be the process to accomplish this? Thanks!
@UkuleleZen2 жыл бұрын
This is a very good question -- and difficult to answer without hearing your melody. A good general guideline is to find the key center (is the melody from a C major scale? An A Major Scale? An Eb minor scale?)...once you find the key center, you'll find that many times one chord can support the majority of the melody...there's no need to put too any chord changes in at first. ANYWAYS -- big subject that would be best answred in a face to face lesson ;-) Thanks for watching and GREAT that you wrote your own tune!
