I'm an art student. I've been studying art for more then 5 years and i swear to God no one ever taught me this. This was really helpful

Since you needed cobalt blue in the first example, but didn't have it, why not go with ultramarine and (if you do have) cerulean blue to get close to a cobalt? Had an instructor suggest this. But as always, love this video, and all the hard work you put into your videos for us.

I only use the primary colors Yellow, Magenta, Cyan and White for paintings. This ist actually what you do in a much more complicated way, I think.

What is the purpose of using a grey palette when your canvas is more often than not, white? When you mix your colors on a palette that’s different from your canvas, your colors will be ‘off’.

@@Lacroix999 I never paint straight onto a white canvas! I always give it a wash of colour white is the worst tone to paint on!

Limited whatever colors ? 😂 the other day I got 5 quarts of oil paints for the doors and windows on the rooftop 🤣 I need to blend in with the walls, and somehow make it look right, blue red yellow ocher and white 😂 got ni clue what I'm doing but I will find a way to make it happen 🤣 I think I should get another quart of white 😂
