This is where learning 3D modeling and rendering has made me a much better traditional artist as I break down all the properties in my head based on simulating them in a 3D environment. Look up a PBR (Physics Based Rendering) explainer to see how all the modern game and 3D modeling tools render objects.

Chroma is the measure that defines the difference of degree between muted and vivid colors, so a muted color has a low chroma and a vivid color has a high chroma. It's like saturation if you prefer but it covers the entire range, not just the muted colors.
