@@supersanahasan you can use just about any product over base gel to adhere fake nails. I just like the color because when I file off my set I know where to stop.

you can also take off the sticky layer of the color to do nail art. either way is better so the art doesn’t spread/run everywhere

Emily you’re so full of good useful info! I recently damaged my nails after a set and had to look at it for a week before putting base coat on. But the colored base coat is nice!

The protective base layer is a such a great idea, especially for polygel as you mentioned or for content creation. I've been trying to decide whether I'm okay with doing my nails every week for KZbin and I've been too worried to do it so far, as you're not meant to cause excessive tension (that's pretty normal when removing a system) to your nails more than once every two weeks, to avoid damaging your nail plate. So, this is a really great measure to remedy that. Cheers for the tip Emily!
