The protective base layer is a such a great idea, especially for polygel as you mentioned or for content creation. I've been trying to decide whether I'm okay with doing my nails every week for KZbin and I've been too worried to do it so far, as you're not meant to cause excessive tension (that's pretty normal when removing a system) to your nails more than once every two weeks, to avoid damaging your nail plate. So, this is a really great measure to remedy that. Cheers for the tip Emily!

Hi Emily 🌺💕 if you file the bottom on the thumbs you can make them a little more square to fit better. Another tip is if you use acrylic to adhere them you can fill all the gaps and use no lamp.😜💯🔥💅💋

Just an update to asking about the protective base under acrylic it definitely works and oh my it's a game changer for me I wish I realized this months ago as I do my nails so often I was doing a lot of damage to my natural nails while getting used to using the e file and learning how to properly use it. I now will always use a coloured protective base under my extensions and will be able to let my nails have a break. It has not made a difference in lifting at all if anything my sets will last longer as my natural nails are super thin and lifting happens regardless of my prep or what I do to prevent lifting. This is amazing 😍😍

Finally! A how to to your protective base. I've been curios for peel off base coat too but just using a thin one layer of glue if its easier to take off but I'm afraid if its gonna pop off all my effort 🤔🤔

I hate peel off base coats, I have a very hands on job and I can't use them cause my nails just pop off after a few hours to a day. I have tried glue as well as unt. If you are painting a ton for like pr samples and don't want a lasting mani its good but it isn't if you put a lot of work into it. A gel base coat works well in that case because it takes more to remove than just normal polish.

Go on Amazon and order a 3 n 1 soak off base coat they work so much better than nail glue. And a led hand flash light when you use it trust me it’s stronger hold and it lasts up to 4 weeks. I’m so glad these nail companies have came out with gel nail base coat. It makes you feel like you went to the salon. 😻😻😻

Now it makes sense, and that base layer looked thick and like it would be really great protection.
